良質の楽曲を提供するブリティッシュ・ハードロックバンドとして、もっと評価されてしかるべきバンドである。
メロディアスなHRというと、わが国ではFAIR WARNINGが筆頭に上がるが、私は、MAGNUMをプッシュしたい。
特に「ON A STORYTELLER'S NIGHT」、「VIGILANTE」の2枚は絶頂期の彼らの傑作であり、まさに「英国バンドの職人芸」である。
良質な楽曲と、心あたたまるボブ・カトレイのVOが耳に平安を与えてくれるであろう。

↑に同感。
なぜあまり認められないんだろう・・。
それはきっとフツウハードロックに聴こえるからではなかろうか。
ボクはフツウであることに非常に価値を見出すのだが、まさにこのバンドは英国における熟練されたフツウハードロック最高峰に位置するのであるッス。

MAGNUM、STATUS QUO、JETHRO TULL。
これが個人的に思う、「英国の文化遺産なのに日本人が認めない」3大バンドです。
職人芸というものは大衆性に迎合しないからこそ成り立つものなんだけど、
英国ではその気質からか、こういうものを大事にしますよね、誇りを持って。
昨今の若手ハードポップバンドの多くがそこそこの一発花火で消えていく中、英国の良心たるMAGNUMがいることは光明であります。
